Wife Patrol joins the lineup of Lincoln Calling 2020.
Wife Patrol is honored to be included in the lineup for this year’s Lincoln Calling music festival. Generally held in Lincoln, Nebraska, Lincoln Calling showcases performers of all backgrounds and concentrates on uplifting underrepresented and emerging artists. Wife Patrol will be taking the digital stage Friday, October 2nd at 9:30 PM (EDT) / 8:30 (CDT).

Wife Patrol sat down with Daniel G. Wilson, musician and founder of Festival Lingua Franca, a music festival dedicated to showcasing loud rock and underground bands with BBI&POC members in Toronto, Canada. The band talked about the upcoming album, Too Prickly For This World, how it deals with racism and sexism both on and off stage, and lots of references to Canadian TV shows and music.
Note: This interview was recorded during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, which is why the band appears in masks for each other’s safety.
Wife Patrol member co-creates Woo Grl Fest
Wife Patrol founding member Nicole O’Neal has co-founded an upcoming music festival in Indianapolis called Woo Grl Fest. Woo Grl Fest is all about creating space and dialogue for women and underrepresented performers in Indiana. It’s co-founders include Nicole, musician Kristin Newborn (KO), and writer/promoter Ariana Beedie. The first festival will take place Saturday, August 20, 2019 at Square Cat Vinyl and Pioneer in Indianapolis.
Wife Patrol performed in the Woo Grl Fest pre-party event, which was a collaboration between Woo Grl Fest and That’s What She Said on Friday, April 19, 2019. Nicole also hosted and moderated a panel discussion at the event.
