Take a look at photos from the 16th Annual Tonic Ball featuring Wife Patrol covering two Dolly Parton tunes!
On Friday, November 17th Wife Patrol joined many Indianapolis musicians to perform in the 16th Annual Tonic Ball. The band performed two Dolly Parton covers and their original song H.A. with the help of local musician, writer, and community organizer, Elle Roberts on vocals and tambourine. The Dolly songs they performed were "Don't Drop Out" and "PMS Blues".
Tonic Ball is an annual fundraising event in Indianapolis, IN that benefits local non-profit organization Second Helpings and their efforts to provide food and culinary training to the community. Each year, Tonic Ball plays host to a number of venues featuring a musical act that local musicians cover; the 2017 artist selections included James Brown, The Cure, Dolly Parton, Simon & Garfunkel, and Wilco.

“We need to see more girls onstage,” Wife Patrol bassist Nicole announced to the audience about halfway through their Blockhouse set last Saturday night. “And people need to get used to it,” she added, before diving into another grunge-heavy number alongside bandmates Natasha (drums) and Greg (guitar, vocals). Indianapolis-based trio Wife Patrol delivered an energetic performance of their original tracks – an eclectic amalgamation of grunge, punk, metal, and pop – with some favorite new wave covers.
